Eleanor Grace Faulkner
born Saturday February 23 at 12:06pm
weighing 7lbs - 1oz and measuring 19 inches.

So there you are in your momma’s tummy at 39 weeks. Pretty impressive, don’t you think?
And there is your precious, sweet (a bit adventurous) sister snuggling close to you at momma’s side.

You see the love in this picture?
I pray you remember this closeness as you get older.
There will always be someone you can cuddle up to who loves you for just who you are.
There is just a bunch of love waiting to be given to you.

Welcome to our love!

Looks Are Deceiving

Dear Baby Faulkner 2

Don't let the above pictures fool you. You have a very loving, fun, exciting and sometimes a little too brave sister to watch over you in these upcoming early days. I promise she will keep you laughing.

I carry you in my heart with great attention these next few weeks as you prepare for your grand entrance into this world.

I offer this as a way of baptism for you, even now:

God speaks to each of us as he makes us,
then walks with us silently out of the night.

These are the words we dimly hear:
You, sent out beyond your recall,
go to the limits of your longing.
Embody me.

Flare up like flame
and make big shadows I can move in.

Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.
Don't let yourself lose me.

Nearby is the country they call life.
You will know it by its seriousness.

Give me your hand.
